AMA Person-to-Know

Boston College’s Carroll School of Management is one of the best in the country. It has many useful resources and is filled with faculty that is committed to help students gain the preparation they need to succeed. Singleton Cox utilized all the resources available to her as a MBA student at Boston College.

She enrolled into the Boston College MBA Program after becoming a senior portfolio manager. She noted that the MBA Program offered superior team activities and that she worked with a great group of people.

Upon reflecting on her experience, she recognized how her skills have developed and felt that she was well-prepared for the future. Singleton Cox graduated in the 2004 Class of the MBA Program and went on to work in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank.

Focus Issue: Taking the Hunt Out of Job (and Internship) Hunting

These days finding a job can be quite a task, and sometimes finding an internship can be even harder. Luckily for BC students there are a variety of resources available to find that perfect job (or internship) opportunity. The “AHANA Career Link” section of BC’s website provides a plethora of information on where and how to find jobs. The site is well-organized and easy to navigate, providing information on upcoming events, help in choosing a major, and even serves as a guide to improving interview skills.

Anotherhelpful source of information is InRoads.org. The non-profit organization proves to be an excellent guide for minority students wanting to develop a future career in business. Top U.S. corporations in a variety of fields (anywhere from pharmaceuticals to investment banking) take on interns through the organization. As you can see, finding a place to intern or work is really just a mouse-click away!
